Allen is a Canadian architectural designer with a strong focus on the intersection of environmental performance and architecture.
After earning his Bachelor's degree at OCAD University, he moved to London in 2018 to complete a Master of Architecture in Sustainable Environmental Design at the Architectural Association, graduating with Distinction.
He currently works at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in London, contributing to a wide range of large-scale international projects — including airports, masterplans, cultural, offices, residential, and adaptive reuse developments — with a focus on data-informed processes, human-centric design, and climate-responsive architecture. With experience across the early design phases — from competition through concept and schematic design — he has worked on projects in Canada, the UK, Europe, China, and the Middle East.
Beyond his practice, Allen teaches workshops focused on computational design and environmental analysis, sharing his expertise in digital methodologies and performance-driven design strategies. He is also involved in research and development related to digital fabrication, space architecture, and AI tools.
